The rapid transformation of learning environments, driven by technological innovation, shifting learner demographics, and evolving societal demands, has exposed critical limitations in traditional, linear curriculum models. This paper proposes a conceptual framework for Adaptive Instructional Design (AID), a theoretically grounded model that repositions curriculum not as a fixed structure, but as a dynamic, responsive architecture capable of accommodating diverse learner needs, cultural contexts, and pedagogical goals. Drawing on established theories including Universal Design for Learning (UDL), constructivist learning theory, and systems thinking, this paper synthesises emerging perspectives in curriculum theory to articulate a coherent, multi-dimensional design framework. The framework is structured around four core principles: learner-centeredness, contextual relevance, iterative feedback, and cross-disciplinary integration. Implications for curriculum developers, instructional designers, educational policy makers, and classroom practitioners are discussed, with emphasis on practical application at both institutional and classroom levels. This paper contributes to the growing discourse on reimagining educational structures to meet the demands of contemporary and future learning landscapes.
