Frequently Asked Questions

F.A.Q.

  1. Can I still submit my manuscript this month?
The BISMA: Bimbingan Swadaya Masyarakat Journal accepts manuscripts at any time, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, with no restrictions. The publication schedule, however, depends on the results of the review and the editor's decision.

  2. How long does it take for a manuscript to be published in the BISMA Journal?
Every manuscript that is submitted undergoes the following review process: 1. Review by the editor, 2. Review by a minimum of 2 or 3 competent reviewers. Both processes depend on the availability of time from the editor and reviewers, as well as the communication process between the author and the editor during the review.

  3. Can my manuscript be published immediately, as it is a requirement for my graduation?
This is a question that should strongly be avoided when addressing the editor. Please follow the journal’s business process as it is. Questions like this will prompt the editor to scrutinize the manuscript more carefully, indirectly causing delays for the author.

  4. Can I submit my manuscript via email?
The management of the BISMA: Bimbingan Swadaya Masyarakat Journal, from manuscript submission to publication, is entirely web-based. This system also allows authors to track the progress of their manuscript in real-time and engage directly with the editor through the journal's website. We do not accept manuscript submissions via email.

  5. Avoid asking or requesting the editor to process your article as quickly as possible; processing incoming manuscripts is the editor's responsibility.

  6. Avoid asking: "When will my article be accepted and published?" as this depends on the results of the review process by the reviewers.

  7. A Letter of Acceptance (LOA) can be requested only after the manuscript has been accepted by the editor and has met the requirements for publication, not at the time of manuscript submission.
