Abstract

This research was conducted to emphasize that the values of moderation are important for the development of the educational community. This is demonstrated by the fact that cases of intolerance and Islamic radicalism have entered schools and even universities. This research uses a library research method. Literature study is a way of collecting data by conducting a review study of books, literature, notes and reports that are related to the problem being solved. The results show that the implementation of moderation values in elementary schools, middle schools, high schools and universities has the same concept. What differentiates each level is the emphasis. The emphasis on the value of moderation in elementary schools is not only in PAI subjects, but schools also practice good attitudes, mutual respect for differences, PAI teachers and others become role models, showing moderation in their daily lives. Meanwhile in Senior High School, there are differences in the level of implementation, such as internalizing the value of moderation through a local cultural approach or local wisdom, which is a development of the wasathiyah concept. In higher education, especially in religion, they are a generation that is hungry for information and still needs assistance
