Author Guidelines

VRISPRAAK: International Journal of Law provides a platform for publishing original research articles, review articles, and brief communications on various topics in national and international law, including family law analysis, Islamic economic law, and judicial decisions. All submissions must adhere to the following standards:

  1. General Author Guidelines
  • Articles must be submitted through the OJS platform at https://ejournal.ijshs.org/index.php/vris/index. For assistance, contact the editorial team via email: [baridnizar1@gmail.com].
  • Manuscripts must not have been previously published or be under consideration by another journal.
  • Manuscripts can be written in English or Arabic. Non-native speakers are encouraged to proofread their manuscripts for grammar and clarity before submission.
  1. Manuscript Structure
  • Title: Concise, clear, and informative, with a maximum of 15 words.
  • Authors and Affiliations: Full names without academic titles, institutional affiliations, and email addresses.
  • Abstract: Written in both English and Arabic, not exceeding 200 words.
  • Keywords: 3–5 words or phrases that represent the core content of the manuscript.
  • Main Sections: Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion.
  • References: Follow the Turabian or Chicago Manual of Style format.
  1. Writing Format
  • Page Size: A4, with 1-inch margins on all sides.
  • Manuscript Length: 7,000–10,000 words, including references and appendices.
  • Font: Times New Roman, size 12, double-spaced.
  • Page Numbering: Bottom right corner of each page.
  1. Review Process
  • All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process by at least two reviewers.
  • Acceptance, rejection, or revision decisions are based on reviewers’ recommendations.
  • Revised manuscripts must be resubmitted within three months of receiving feedback.
  1. Submission Steps

            Manuscript submission involves the following five steps:

  • Selecting the type of article.
  • Uploading the main manuscript file.
  • Completing the metadata form.
  • Uploading supporting documents (e.g., cover letter).
  • Confirming the submission.
  1. Copyright and Licensing

This journal operates under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA), permitting distribution and adaptation with proper attribution to the original work.

  1. Reference Guidelines
  • References must be relevant, with at least 15 sources cited.
  • Qur’anic and Hadith citations must include the chapter/verse number or narrator.
  • Footnotes are preferred for referencing, following the bodynote style.
  1. Supporting Documents

Authors are required to include:

  • A cover letter explaining the article's contribution to the field.
  • A brief CV with contact information.
